What We/He Did in the
Garden
Last Days | Part THREE
Holy Saturday is a pause in Holy Week to be reminded of the despair and confusion followers of Jesus felt after the crucifixion. We want to believe we live in a just world, where good triumphs over evil. But is that true or are we fooling ourselves? You don’t need my to tell you that, all too often, bad guys do bad guys things and get away with it. Does God realize the world he created is slipping away?
FAITH & Culture
Navigating the intersection of faith and culture has perhaps always been complicated but in recent years a crisis has emerged. Some pastors and church leaders have compromised. Others have self-silenced out of self-preservation, avoiding controversial topics in spite of clear biblical teaching on the subject matter. The Church needs preachers who will tell the truth now more than ever. Check out this brief teaching on the topic of deconstruction:
Relationships & Social Media
If we are not careful, online social networks will destroy our healthy real-life relationships and replace them with cheap, counterfeit associations that leave us isolated, vulnerable and insecure. God created you for real community, for initimacy, to know and be known. So, how do we invest in fruitful relationships while honoring God, especially through virtual interactions?
It really is the greatest book ever written, is it not? And yet biblical literacy, among Christians, remains an obstacle in becoming better followers of Jesus. Too often Bible-believing Christians are not necessarily Bible-reading Christians and it is the role of God’s messengers to bring the stories back to life through creative proclamation and orthodox application. How can the Church reclaim our sense of awe and wonder for the written Word of God?
